Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is located in New Mexico,
about 80 miles south of Albuquerque. Many photographers, birders
and just nature lovers flock to Bosque each November and December
for the spectacle of tens of thousands of snow geese and sandhill
cranes that stop-over during their southerly migration. The refuge
is also home to a variety of other birds and mammals, but the snow
geese and sandhill cranes are the stars of the show.
